From cozy cafés to lakeside spots to cultural gems - Lake Zurich is one of the city's most charming areas. Here are some of my favorite spots around Zurichhorn. The best part? You can easily stroll between all these places in one promenade.

This hidden gem is located right by the lake - an outdoor beergarden - perfect for a drink with friends or a quick bite. I recommend trying the fish burger!

This spot has a relaxed vibe with unique view over the lake and the Alps.

Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen Bellerivestrasse 200, 8008 Zürich

A great spot for relaxing by the lake. If you have a stand up paddle board - this is a perfect place to take it out on the water. During summer you'll have to buy a ticket at the entrance but for the rest of the year, the garden is open - ideal for a stroll or a run.

It's a beaut.

Gelati am See

Very cool retro stand serving homemade Italian ice cream. They offer a variety of flavours and you always get a tiny one to taste! It's seriously good and definitely worth a stop while strolling along the lake promenade.

Located in the middle of a cozy closed off area - this is a great lunch place or for casual coffee (I really recommend their Shakshuka!). At the same spot you'll also find Mühlerama, the Museum of Food Culture which hosts events and exhibitions on art, food, music, markets, and more!

Pavillon Le Corbusier

If you appreciate beautiful architecture - this museum is for you. It's the last building designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier and offers a walk-through experience which is truly inspiring. (only open during the summer or from April 25).

They have some really cool posters for sale at the entrance.

With these 5 spots in mind, here's the perfect promenade route: Start with a stop at Gelati am See and then take a stroll to Pavillon Le Corbusier. Afterwards, head to Fischergarten for a drink, followed by a visit to Strandbad Tiefenbrunnen. End your walk at Café Kornsilo. Or do the other way around - and end it with ice cream by the lake!
